I still don't get the point. Qemu is a processor emulator, not a "compatability layer". Why would you want to emulate a processor on the same processor? Using it on a X86 puts Qemu in competetion with Dosemu and VMware. Not a place I would want to be if I were looking for funding, which he was. > One thing I learned fairly early on was never to trust future money. > Personally, I'm in the business of providing support in exchange for > money. I asked if he would be interested in applying his proprietary technology to work on a non X86 processor and if he would, we would seek funding to include his work in a much broader product. It was IMHO the perfect win-win senario. We do all the work of obtaining the money for him, he does not even have to be mentioned by name. If we fail, he looses nothing, not even the posibility of seeking funds from the same people. If we succeed he gets the funding he desires. If he was not interested a simple no would have sufficed. If he was, a yes, I would want $xxx, but don't mention me or my program by name would have been enough. It obligates neither of us. Geoff. -- Geoffrey S.
