Well, I now tested it on Debian Sarge with kernel 2.6.8-2-686 as well as Sarge
with kernel 2.6.15.5 (under User Mode Linux). Both ran the program fine. So I
guess it's a Mandriva specific bug.

No, I don't, the file is OK. Maybe one of the mail relays mangled it.
