Yes, that's what I know from the past, but it's not helpful if you want
dd-style image.

I found this out short after emailing. Indeed interesting, but on one
(older) machine cdrecord -clone said 'cdrecord: Clone writing not
compiled in.' and on sarge it said 'cdrecord: Can only copy session # 1.'.

I did not try (yet?) newer versions.

This indeed seemed the most interesting, but
1. I had the impression (from quick googling) that it's for audio only
2. I do not have time now for this (patching/compiling/rebooting).

I'll surely look at this.
