Hi list. A triviality if you will: I'm using Amarok to listen to podcast on my computer - it has a nice support for them by just dragging feed (RSS/ATOM) to the "podcasts" collection, and then Amarok is just like a feed reader for podcasts. Problem is - I don't have time to listen to podcasts while I'm on the computer - I do other stuff which requires concentration. I was thinking of burning podcasts to CD and playing them in my car - I don't have a mobile media player, but I spend a fair amount of time each morning and evening in my CD player equipped car.
Amarok also have a nice function where you can select a bunch music filed on your playlist and "burn to CD", which I thought I could use, but apparently it does not extend to non-local media: when I select some podcasts and right click, the "burn" entry is disabled. Does anyone have an idea of how to achieve what I want ? The basics are these: 1) Register to podcast feeds and check for updates regularly, keeping track of stuff I already played, and allow me to select only unheard casts. 2) Collect podcasts feeds I select interactively and burn them to CD. I'd appreciate if it you can point me at some software or bunch of programs that allow grandmas (read: non-hackers/power-users) to do this, as I want a technique that I can show my non-linux enthusiast friend how to do. Thanks in advance :-) -- Oded ::.. A background is boring to itself but necessary is for the understanding of the rest. ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
