It depends. If you have a home cable modem from HOT then you share the
same device. I have a commercial line at home and they are seperate
devices. 

It's a silly thing, they sell their 3m and 5m download service via their
commercial division. I get better service, but I'm not eligable for 
combined service discounts (package deals with cable service and phone
line and internet).
