I have not checked ESX or GSX, just the player. I think there are just vmmon and vmnet, and it looks like they are fairly careful about open source licenses. They bundle OSS with the player, and the documentation carries a summary (and texts) of licenses, etc. The userspace stuff is closed, but that's OK. The modules, as I mentioned, taint the kernel. In fact, I could not find an explicit license terms specifically for the modules. If there is none indeed, I wonder if it can be interpreted that the modules are under GPL by virtue of the kernel license. IANAL. I would be surprised if they were in gross violation, given their visibility. -- Oleg Goldshmidt | [EMAIL PROTECTED] | http://www.goldshmidt.org ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
