Hi,

Here is my problem. I've installed KnoppMyth and gotten it runing.
I use an AverTV GO 007 FM Plus capture card. I've been able to
get everything running EXCEPT the remote control.

When I tried to use the included version of lirc, it told me there
was no module for the card and I had to install it myself.

I donwloaded and configured it for an avermedia remote (tried all three
versions) and when I try to modprobe the lirc_gpio module it fails, because
it does not find the gpio to read the remote data from.

Therefore all of the lirc programs that let you test the remote, etc
fail. That's the first problem.

The second one is that when MythTV starts I get:

irxevent: could not connect to socket
irxevent: Connection refused

and

mythtv: could not connect to socket
mythtv: Connection refused
lirc_init failed for mythtv, see preceding messages

BUT the remote sort of works. Some keys (up/down/right/left
arrows) work, but nothing else. Changing the /etc/lircd.conf to define
the remote (assuming I have the right definitions) does not work.

The question that I have is if MythTV is activating lirc on it's own,
which files defines the remote codes and which file defines the events
they are mapped to?

There is plenty of documentation for this when lirc works, but none
for when it doesn't (but works anyway).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Geoff.
