I haven't tried this, but here's a link to a tutorial on using ImageMagick to 
create a screen shot movie:

Other tools you might try are screenkast, xvidcap or istanbul.

As I see it, use one of these tools and run your Impress file, which will then 
be converted to "movie" in one of a number of viewable formats (depending on 
which tool you choose). Hope one of these solves your problem.
