dud someone is screwing you. A decent computer for running asterisk is
nothing more then a 1GHZ computer, with 256 RAM. You can buy shitty HW
that will last you 3 years for 2000nis ~ 500usd.
4 FXO (tdm400, or 4 X100P) will not cost you more then 200 usd. I am
quite sure you can find what you need in about 1000usd. Telephony HW and
computers.

I can take 2000 usd for then job. The rest give it to someone who lives
in the north (ahm.... I think I live in Carmiel...).

I would agree, but this goes into a corporate office which will
require the polished, shinny box (with different colored LEDS) and the
work be done by a reputable company (read, someone you can scare with
lawyers)

I think it was Doron Ofek who once said something about holding up your
balls but not squeezing. I think it applies here as well.

I would like to know that as well, since I know the poor quality of
asterisk from the SW point of view. Yes, IMHO asterisk is a piece of
crapware, but still is better then the other alternatives.

Can you elaborate some more on this? Crapeware in terms of code,
system management or voice quality?
