If you plan to buy a computer with ATI, NVidia or Intel graphics
accelerator, and want to see how Linux will handle them, then I
recommend testing with Mandriva 2007 One live cd, the non-"completely
free" version, which includes the required drivers and also features 3D
desktop effects.
As a side bonus - if you leave it in the store - its sure to excite even
MS-Windows Vista fans.

Nothing wrong with that - if they offer the hardware and the support,
and have the market share that allows them to mark up the prices and get
away with it, then by all means - go them. I personally would not buy
these, but I know a lot of people who prefer Dell/HP computers over
standard beige boxes which cost half as much for the same hardware.
