Here's more info. While GOOGLing for this, I noticed that the CTRL-scrollwheel
is also supposed to zoom fonts in KDE (I didn't know that - I only knew it
worked in Firefox). I tried it in Konqueror and it works on my Mandriva 2006
but not on my 2 Mandriva 2007 boxes. That's the same behaviour I already
mentioned about Firefox. So I guess the problem is Mandriva and not Firefox.

Can anyone suggest where to look next?
