I realise I gave many examples from my own life and tried to explain why 
developers who think like me and are as enlightened as me deserve the best in 
employer treatment. However, it was done while trying to convince both 
employers and employees. I'd rather speak from experience (like Joel Spolsky 
does) than speak of something I know nothing of, or in vague generalisations.
