I didn't follow the original post (it's not relevant for me) but there are plenty of key signing party howto's, here is a page describing the method used in the LCA2007 Key Signing party: http://www.keysigning.org/methods/sassaman-projected (this entire site is built to help organize parties, maybe you want to use it for AP).
