Hard disk image mounting problem

Hi,
My hard disk failed and I had to ddrescue it to an image file.
What I did is copy the whole HD to image file.
So now I have hda.img
The problem is that now I want to work on the separate partitions in the
image, which I don't know how to do.
'fdisk -l hda.img' will not work.
How do I proceed from here?
