Hello, I got a laptop from work on which I already managed to shrink the Windows partitions and install Debian Etch with LVM.
But today I when I boot the Ubuntu 7.10 regular (as opposed to "alternate") desktop LiveCD I found that it doesn't recognize the LVM partition and wouldn't let me do anything with it (I was planning on shrinking the Debian partition and make room for another LV in the same VG). I'm now downloading the alternate CD but was wondering whether someone can give me a quick answer before I finish the (slow) download and burn/reboot cycle - is it possible to install 7.10 into a new LV inside an existing VG?
