Hi, Thanks. The exact status is this:
After reboot: starting mc, and pressing "left alt+ left control + ?" => works as it should, namely go to find file. In Gnome keyboard preferences I have in Layout only English. In Layout options->Layout switching **nothing** is selected Than I run: "setxkbmap -option grp_led:scroll,grp:alt_shift_toggle us,il" I see no error. Immediately afterwards, I try in the mc "left alt+ left control + ?" => does ***not*** works as it should; it simply does nothing except toggling the "keyboard indicator" on the panel from USA to il. But when I press left alt + left shift, the languate is changed to hebrew and I can type in hebrew. Also the scroll lock led is lit. And of course it toggles back to hebrew and english when pressing again left alt + left shift as it should. Any ideas?
