Hi, Imperva is looking for a system engineer to be part of the team responsible for the platform running on its appliances.
This includes responsibility for: * The distribution installed on the appliances, as it evolves per Linux updates, HW updates, security and product needs. * Development of the platform configuration and control layers of the end product. * Packaging and installation. * Support of the development cycle allowing a highly automated building, installation and deployment mechanisms for. Hence, the required skills are: * Must - Basic understanding of Linux internals (knowledge of other OSes as well - an advantage) * Knowledge of network administration and programming (TCP/IP) * Good understanding of hardware/software systems, including some knowledge of HW architecture and device drivers. * Scripting languages programming skills (bash and python - an advantage) * Knowledgeable in kernel configuration and management - an advantage. * Packaging and distribution methods knowledge - an advantage.
