Hi all,

I have remote server in Israel (I'm not in Israel) which is my gateway to
home (Asterisk / VoIP, Mythtv for tv etc).
I'm trying to debug a packet lost (avg of 15%) which started recently.
The server is connected to hot infrastructure and what was actcom, bezeqint.
I'm using pptp to connect to the Internet.
It seems that most of my packet lost is happening on my PPTP gateway address
(first hop).
First thing that I've did was to call bezeqint, and of course they claim
that nothing is wrong in their infrastructure, than I've called hot, which
did a "ping" to their equipment, again claiming that everything is all right
from thier site (hot server <--> modem ).

I've done a simple test, in where I've tried to ping the ip's inside hot
infrastructure - i.e. when you just get a dhcp ip address at first, its a
hot internal ip address, and also the pptp server has hots ip address, so
I've tried pinging them as well.

it seems that the packet drops are happening already at this point, that
means that its not even related to the internet connection (unless the pptp
server is at bezeqint ).

I've called back to hot with this information, and they claimed that it must
be a problem between my router and their equipment, however I do not seem to
have any interface / duplex errors.

Does anyone has an idea how could I further debug this?

Thanks & Hag Samach,
Ohad
