Maybe they had it and removed it the moment they realized it breaks the ssl upgrade. If that happens, it will seem like a locally created package to aptitude, and it won't point the finger any longer. Sadly, of course, it will also not get removed. If that's the case, then yes, it is backports that have killed your security upgrades. Shame on them.
