Hi,

I tried just one USB Skype phone - Philips (don't remember which model) and it
didn't work - no clue to how to get it to work, no usb support apparently in
Skype for Linux? but this was 6 months ago.

I would go with Skype "VoIP" phones, where no PC is required.

Can't suggest a model, but I was in the past considering the Belkin one, until
I found out no one in Israel imports it - unless you buy it and then you wait
21 days for it to arrive.

If that is the case, I rather buy it next time I am in the US :)

That way I can try it out while I am still there to confirm that it works as
planed.
