Amos Flash on Ubuntu 9 in general consumes much more CPU than previous versions, full screen youtube on my dual core machine takes 70% of each of the two cpus- which may be why FF locks. I've confirmed this for 32 and 64 bit - it's well documented on the Ubuntu forums.....fwiw....people are waiting for Adobe....
