Please note that a 'nc' (non-commercial) license is generally not compatible with most other FOSS licenses (which allow use for any purpose, including commercial). This usually prevent inclusion in official repositories of linux distributions. I think before asking favours from the author, you may want to check what is needed for the fonts to be bundled with Linux distributions. One example may be found here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal_considerations_for_fonts Also, Culmus project may also be used as a good example to licensing decisions and the impact they have -- Culmus is bundled by any Linux distribution on the planet... another oportunity to thank Maxim Ioresh for his work again. -- Oron Peled Voice: +972-4-8228492 [email protected] http://users.actcom.co.il/~oron "It's almost like we're doing Windows users a favor by charging them money for something they could get for free, because they get confused otherwise." - Larry Wall. _______________________________________________ Linux-il mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.cs.huji.ac.il/mailman/listinfo/linux-il
