I mostly use grpn which emulates a RPN calculator, I am used to the RPN system from old HP calculators.

I decided to give it a try (I used to own an hp 48).

First thing I said after doing the basic arithmetics was "it has no hexadecimal mode!". I decided to try typing "hex".

Low and behold - it entered hexadecimal mode. Great!

So I said, let's get out of hexadecimal mode. So I typed "dec", which the calculator obediently wrote down as "0xdec".

At which point I followed the proverb "when all else fails - read the manual".

So I did.

It said the function is called "dec".

Sorry, it does not seem I'll be adopting it any time soon. I use kcalc myself.
