Wow, some of these devices are powerful enough to recharge a car battery (and weigh accordingly).
Clearly they target multiple markets - one for the light traveler, who want something to keep using his/her phone or Kindle during the day without disruptions, and one for heavy users who need to run a laptop or two for a whole day. Different loads for different folks. I am going to check and see if Office Depot or Bug (these are the only stores I know in Israel) carry one of these things (on the lighter use side - all I want right now is not to run looking for outlets during the day to recharge my Samsung Galaxy Mini). Amazon is a good source, as is eBay, but I am not sure about logistics. If all fails, I'd inquire there too. Cheers, Z.
