I have a snap version of ultimate-media-downloader on Kubuntu
24.04. I hate snaps, but sometimes there is no choice.
It worked fine until recently (about 2 or 3 weeks ago).
Today it gave several error messages (details below) and does not
work. Among the error messages I see that there is a problem with
core (I assume that refers to the core snap) and to an old version
of Python not being supported, but the system is fully updated and
all snaps are up to date so I do not understand why I get those
messages.
Any help would be appreciated. I already tried refreshing snaps,
uninstalling and re-installing the program.
When I start the program I get:
[UMD4] Start Downloading core ... ...
[UMD4] Downloading core: 2.95 MiB / 2.95 MiB (100.00%)
[UMD4] Download complete
[UMD4] Checking installed version of core
[UMD4] Failed to find version information, make sure "core" is
installed and works
When I "ignore" those messages and try to download something, I
get:
[UMD4] Starting download...
