I threw a bait to get a feeling of how bad this situation is. http://www.whatsup.org.il/modules.php?mop=modload&name=Forum&file=viewtopic&topic=3132&forum=12
If that is a common phenomenon, it might be one course of action that will both counteract Mr. Scope's accusations (http://www.whatsup.org.il/article.php?sid=1380) as well as raise public awarness to OS/FS. (If that works, we can all thank Mr. Scope for inspiring this idea. lol) A possible action might be to start a campaign against the use of theftware backed by the "Hamakor" (might be as little as allowing such information to be submitted and make the information about offenders available in a web site as well as forwarding it to the ministry of education and the BSA), along with proposing OS/FS alternatives (regardless if they run on Linux or Windows, in the first phase). If you have any information on such use of theftware or have family members/friends that can report such action, please contribute/forward the information in the above forum. (http://www.whatsup.org.il/modules.php?mop=modload&name=Forum&file=viewtopic&topic=3132&forum=12) Any other thoughts on the matter are welcome. --- Vadim Vygonets <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Quoth Dan Armak on Wed, Jun 04, 2003: > > The problem is threefold: > > - They are spending tax money on buying copies of > msoffice. > > - They are forcing, or at least encouraging, > students to illegally copy > > msoffice to use at home. > > It's illegal, kind of.
