Something just occurred to me, I'm using a X_winpro 5.3 Xserver from a
winXP machine. It seems logical to me that I need a special keyboard
file to support hebrew with it.

Anyone knows anything about it? Maybe someone has a 'kmf' file that
fits?

Subject: hebrew toggle in gnome

I installed Gnome on a new install of mandrake 9.1 (I'm usually a KDE
user...) I've set it up for hebrew and It looks great, everything is in
hebrew righ to left as it should be. My only problem is that I can't
type in hebrew. Here is my XSettings:

Section "InputDevice"
    Identifier "Keyboard1"
    Driver "Keyboard"
    Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
    Option "XkbLayout" "us,il"
    Option "XkbCompat" "group_led"
    Option "XkbOptions" "grp:alt_shift_toggle"
EndSection

my encoding is: he_IL.UTF-8

any ideas on why I can't toggle to hebrew?

Shai
