Hello, my name is Daniel Delic. I'm a PhD student at the Freie Universitaet Berlin, Germany. Subject of my research is the success evaluation of non-profit portals. Such portals can be used for free and are not supposed to generate monetary revenue. However, providing a portal costs money, time, personal effort, and more. In addition to that, the resources for such non-profit projects usually are limited. Hence it is important to measure the efficiency of the invested resources and discover possible areas of improvement.
Being myself a Linux user and also supporting the general (non-profit) ideas of open source I decided to evaluate Linux community portals. For that reason I contacted Linux-India.org. It was very good to hear that the Linux-India.org administration (special thanks to Raju) supports my project and also is interested in the research results which will be hopefully useful for any further development of the site. One part of my research is a questionnaire based survey. Its purpose is to elicit the user's opinion about certain aspects of the site. I invite everybody to participate and help the project to get meaningful and helpful evaluation results. The survey is anonymous and will take you about 7 Min to complete.
