Dear all Linux users,
Myself, Prof. Abhijeet Kale, Incharge, IT Dept., B.N.Bandodkar College, Thane.
My department is organizing two day conference on Linux namely LinuxThane
2006 on November 24, 25, 2006. The aim of the conference is
1. Educating the society at large about Linux.
2. Guiding current generation about Linux
You can consider this conference as Linux Awareness Program. RedHat, Mumbai
is taking part in this event.
I herewith request all of you to help us to achive our goal.
Activities conducted by the dept. for Linux awareness till now,
1. Linux workshop for Teaching / Non Teaching Staff of our college.
2. Two days Linux Traing Program in collaboration with Root Technologes,
Authorized training centre of RedHat.
3. One computer laboratory of my dept. installed with open source softwares.
4. Out of 6 servers on our campus 4 are Linux based.
5. We are about to conduct a workshop for M. Sc(I.T.) students of Mumbai
University.
