Dear All, We would like to extend our support in promoting freed.in through our new web portal - openITis.com
Please do review openITis.com by going to http://openITis.com/openITis/ We will unveil the website for the Beta phase shortly. We request you to send us some promotional material related to freed.in that we can put it up on our portal and include a link to the event website from there. We invite suggestions on how we can further promote freed.in through openITis.com Hoping to hear from you soon... Yours Truly, Atul Goel LINUX For You *PS: A brief note on openITis.com (new avatar of linuxforu.com):* Though LFY magazine has been in circulation since early 2002, we've not had a strong web-presence. Our website (www.linuxforu.com) has been used primarily as an e-brochure for the magazine. However, based on advice from our near-ones and feedback from our readers, we realised that there was a need for us to develop a portal on Linux/Open Source and hence came the idea to develop openITis.com The initial goals that have been set for openITis.com include: a) Share best practices and success stories from South Asia with the global audience b) Open and share our old content that we can't keep repeating in the magazine, but is useful for the new crop of Linux/OSS enthusiasts c) Create a solid resource center for Techies (CXOs, IT Pros, Developers, Experts, etc) wherein they can d) Create a resource where India-related Linux/OSS news and trends can be made available Though LINUX For You is contributing its own content, openITis.com will not restrict itself to the same. It will develop an ecosystem where the latest news and articles that are worthy of attention will get shared by each other through openITis.com.
