hi all,
i am a newbie to the list and Linux as well. loaded Redhat 6.1 from the PC
quest CD rom. Works fine in text mode. when i say startx, it says that
xauthority error in loading shared lib ; libX11.so.6 is needed by
Xconfigurator 4.2.3-1, no such file or directory
xautho error in loading shared library ; libXextso is needed by
Xconfigurator 4.2.3-1, no such file or directory
xautho error; in loading shared library libXneunt.so.0.40 is needed by
Xconfigurator 4.2.3-1, no such file or directory
i tried to follow Atul Chitnis article in PC Quest Mar 2000, when i tried
"rpm -ivh Xconfigurator*.rpm" it said error in loading libraries.
I have the NVidia Riva TNT chipset on the board with 16MB on it.
