Hi guys! I got few problems when trying to make diskless client. iam using caldera openlinux2.3.when i boot the client using the floppy it qets the i.p address from the server through bootpd.after thet it tries to load the tagged kernel image at this time it says. "Loading image /kernel/clinetimage....." "BOOTP record too large" and repeats the message. I tried with 2 tagged image one with 512k and other with 160k.i had given alll the permissions on the directory and the image included the addr. in hosts.allow file. on the server side the bootpd starts up as soon as the client makes the request for i.p addr.But the in.tftpd starts up some after bootpd and goes off imediately(its not there when i listed the process). in inet.conf file i have tftp dgram udp wait root /usr/sbin/tcpd in.tftpd (is this correct ) bootps dgram udp wait root /usr/sbin/tcpd bootpd Can anyone give me some solution for this or any linls. thanks in advance, kannan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
