I could compile everything pucca with -O6 optimization. U should note
that gcc-2.95 is to be used for specific CPU optimizations. My
initscripts are derived from sysvinit-2.78-2. There is no problem in
running this kernel except for two. Quite stable and fast.
Problem 1: VJ compression in the ppp module is not getting enabled
and error is echoed on screen. I assume that the generic
PPP driver is behind this. This disappears upon uncommenting
the -vj line in /etc/ppp/options file but transfer of bits
go down and the link crawls.
Problem 2: cannot mount shm filesystem echoed on screen once after
booting and whenever a Gtk based app is used.
suid permissions are causing a lot of hassles and some were hacked to
get thru.
