Dear friends,
In this month's PCQ there was an article by Atul Chitnis about
configuring X-windows using the VESA frame buffer driver. According to the
article, we are to enter "linux 3 vga=771" at the LILO prompt. Now, why the
"3" ?? It seems to work fine even without "3" i.e. if we enter "linux vga=771" .
I will be grateful if anyone (especially Mr. Chitnis ) can clarify .
Yours,
Soumava
