I meant "real" databases :-) Plus, anything that is there on Linux does
not automatically become a standard. UNIX 98 for example doesn't specify
this library as a standard.

Sounds like he's trying to access dbopen and is specifying
db_open, which is causing linker failures.

For dbopen, read the man page and include the right header files. The
library is -ldb
