Another thing that I learned from Linux. You need not reinstall the o/s
if you are facing a problem. Install everything that you know that you
want. That will be good.. really good. The nature of the O/S is so
modular that most of the time, with a little tinkering, the things can
be added on the fly and at worst, the system requires a reboot.

I learned it the hard way after reinstalling Linux every time I lost
sound. Yes, even THIS happens in the early days.

You will need to configure your video card. VGA16 will give you what is
