Hello,
Although there are many ways to accomplish this, if you would like to
have a permanent share like thing between Win PC and Linux PC then i
feel that samba would be the best suited. On the other hand, if it is
only a one time requirement then u would better go for other options
such as mail, ftp etc.. (as others have already told)
If you would like to go for samba, then you do get many added
advantages also. To start, first check if you have installed samba
(inbuilt in Redhat 6.1). If not get it from http://www.samba.org/
Read the documentation there and also the doc pages that will be
installed. Give special interest to man smb.conf. Configure your
\etc\smb.conf as per your requirements and run the smbd and nmbd
daemons and you are through with it.
In case of problems feel free to ask
