Hi Buddy!!
It does work provided U have an ATX cabinet and your Bios supports it.
I am presently running on Award Bios V4.51PG (I dont know what this PG
Mean) and have a Kobian ATX cabinet.
Hey there is a feature in BIOS power management that is wake up on Alarm
and I did enable it for the specified time so it wakes up at the
specific time given to it. But there is a problem how do I set it to
shutdown. This is where U r linux comes in as this is not possible from
the bios side. Now U have to use the utility command called 'at' and
configure it to shutdown the system using the command 'shutdown -h 0' at
the specified time(Now ATX cabinet comes in handy it shuts down the
system completely that is it switches off even the system power supply.
Now put it in one of the startup scripts so that u can have it down
whenever U start U r system.
And boom it works I just tried it myself just to confirm what I have old
U works or not...so I feel that shouldn't be a problem for U too.
