Hi, We're trying to get rsync working in our local server. We've installed the rsync package, edited the inetd configuration file and got rsync running. It is also able to compare and copy files across 2 directories, if source and destination is local. (We used anonymous rsync for this, and never succeeded in using authentication protocol. How can it be done? ) We want to test this with remote. Without using another linux box, in the same linux machine how do we use rsync as if it is connecting to remote.
