Hi,
I have loaded SuSE from Chip CD. I have been working in it for the last 10
days. No problem whatsoever. In fact X works better in Suse than in RH 6.1 or
Corel on my machine. Of course I could not load it on my 2.8 GB partition with
Yast 2.3 (or whatever). Somebody on the list suggested a boot floppy. And Yast
1.03 (I suppose) worked fine. I loaded staroffce 5.1 (chip CD again) and it
works fine. slightly faster than in RH 6.1. I haven't tried to configure
soundcard. however I can listen to music with the kde CD player. I haven't
tried anything else.

Surprised to see so much mail on Suse is problematic on this list. For it works
just fine and fast on my machine.

One request for help too

Outside X , I can dial to my ISP and start a PPP connection with wvdial. After
the connection is established how can I start Lynx ? From two terminals in X
I am able to do this. But is it possible outside X ? I do not get a prompt after
the connection is established and PPP started.

Regards
Sujit
