Try this:
1. Become root on ur m/c and type
pnpdump -c > /etc/isapnp.conf
Now,you have a file in /etc called isapnp.conf that needs to be
edited..
2.Open a text editor, say jed or something else in KDE, open
modules.conf and edit it....these lines are near the top and u need
to edit them out with the #..
#alias char-major-14 off
#alias sound off
#alias midi off
Scroll down this file and choose one of the sound card setups--ur
card should be there as it is a SB, so just take out the # signs in
that section
This should get sound working....anyway, get back on the list with
ur results:)
