Someone put a command logout in your .bashrc or .profile ?
Reboot to single user mode "linux single" at LILO prompt
and then view the file...
also examine your inittab.
Try loggin in from different virtual terminals. If the behaviour is not
consistent [if not all terms log you out] then the problem is probably
in /etc/inittab file.
