I faced the same problem somebody on the list suggested installing using a
boot disk. It worked. Instead of Yast 2.3 (or whatever) the install went
smoothly with Yast 1.?. Suse Installation works fine. Try. If you have
problems creating the boot disk let me know. I can help

Subject: [LIH] confused about suse partition
i am a bit confused about installing suse linux from april chip cd.
While installing it i have to install it in extended dos partition. So i am
not able to devide my dos partition into two parts and so my dos backup is
no longer safe.
The problem is while installing suse from cd. my hd (4.3 gb)contains one
primary dos (1gb) and one extended dos(500) including one logical dos (500)
and rest of disk(2.5gb appx.) is unalloacated space. but suse refuse to
install in that partition.
While i have to delete my extended dos partition and then i am able to
install it.
What could be the remedy?
Thanks
Kunal
