hi,
You try to find the linux computer from your Windows
m/c from the Find computer tab. If the search fails,
then there is some basic problem in the smb.conf else
you can just use it as any other win m/c.
To autostart samba, you can use the control panel
and run level editor. From there you can add the
samba service so that it can start automatically.
This is much safer than manually editing the
/etc/inetd.conf.
