This is what you have to do. Open /etc/inetd.conf and search for the lines
starting with "time". As far as I remember there are only two lines.
Uncomment these lines , save and exit from the file. At the command prompt,
type

  killall -HUP inetd

Do this on all the m/c you are trying to connect to and this should solve
your problem.
