I am using RedHat 6.1 as my oracle 8i database server and Enhydra web
server.
People who develop the application sometimes login through telnet and
compile their java codes and all that.
>From last two days i am watching my linux server slow downs as processes
takes time to complete and hd lights glows all the time.
Today when i try to find out the reasons, at its worsts it gives vfs
error
it gives maximum open files error -- open file crosses 4096 no.
Is there any way by which i can increase this no for my system. or is
there any way to solve this problem?
My hard disk is only 83% full and no of users use the linux through
telnet, oracle client, ftp or linux m/c is 5 to 6 at a time
Please guide me
I can not proceed with this speed with my dbase
