Just untar it and read the install docs.  Most likely, at least on linux,
you can just do a ./configure and make install without any hassles.

CAUTION: ~Dont~ try installing it on a production server if you are trying
this for the first time (in fact, never do it even if you have years of
experience in sendmail <g>).  Compile it on some linux box or the other
and check it out first, before you install it on your REC's mailserver.

Note that a lot has changed since 8.9.3 - read through all the articles
here if you want to upgrade to 8.10.
