Hmm, BeOS 5.0 Professional Edition gives you the Be Bootman,
boot loader, which, imho, (no flames, please) , in not in any way
cooler than grub. Its ~probably~ better than lilo in that it has a
semi-GUI , but then again, what do you want a GUI for, for a
*BOOTLOADER* ... besides, grub gives you a more configurable gui, and
a better looking one(opinion) ... and for hardcore gui, check out
xosl.org ..
Also, grub can boot the hurd, and afaik, be's bootman cannot.
Also, FreeBeOS 5.0 Personal Edition, is *supposed* to give you
Be's Bootman, for Win 95/98/ME ... (ME's pretty impressive though,
BTW, its explorer shell loads about 2^10 million times faster than
win2k's) ... and doesn't give you the Bootman for NT or Win 2000
... so infact, if you installed it on a Win 9x box, you should check
it...
And anyway, why struggle so much, at all? Just use lilo/grub or
whatever and be happy :>
