Hi, Tried that stuff too. Created a batch file beos.bat and after getting the dos prompt beos :-) 800x600 / 16bpp beautiful. Faster booting ( no floppy involved ). For making vesa resolutions defaults just put the following in vesa script in /boot/home/config/kernel/drivers directory 800 600 16 or 1024 768 16 This will start BeOS in the specified resolution by default. If you use the above stuff ( this to be used only if your card is not supported by BeOS ), screensavers will not work, video playback sluggish. Other stuff fine such as playing mp3 etc. Midi playback slugish.
