Problem is that when a mailserver implements pop3 poorly, it can lead to
pop lock files etc being created.
It is far better to use fetchmail and download the mails to your local
box, or to read the mails using IMAP (if supported).
For this add this to your .pinerc
incoming-folders={imap.server.name}Inbox
